It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the peak baggers, are the only things left for a side that has achieved everything.

It needed as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It is hard for their batsmen to maintain a record if not provided the opportunity.

Ultimately, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to produce her newest gem.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups held the previous year and has experienced everything through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory came three months after her debut and seven international trophies have come from 10 efforts across formats.

The gritty keeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India briefly halted the successful run.

That loss "motivated us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy said this week.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the title decider and was awarded tournament MVP. She ensured her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings surpassed that earlier display can be debated.

Many contend the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in training, it was a challenging time because it seemed I've had no rhythm completely," stated Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your fighting spirit activate and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's competitiveness has always been her great strength - and an irreplaceable characteristic in taking over from legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the emerging pace bowler in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and from that point Healy was on her way.

"An opportunity to play and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself that way, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was out her side needed 66 more at one run per ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the confidence to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we believe we can succeed."

These statements will be the final thing competing nations at this tournament should hear.

During the last week a feeling they will win from any position has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was at that stage they exited last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a significant event.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she wished she had played despite the injury.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have delayed plans to retire, this championship is expected to be her last as captain in ODI cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as leader.

Victory in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
