For the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar

Ingredients for the Cocktail (yields 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Directions

To prepare the Cordial: Put the listed items in a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, mixing to dissolve. After that, remove from the stove allowing it to cool entirely. Pour to a clean bottle, close it and refrigerate it chilled, where it will keep for up to a month.

Preparing the Cocktail Base: Mix the specified liquids in a big jug, leave to sit for one hour, then filter it best through muslin, so it's perfectly clear.

When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of your premix to a stirring glass packed with ice, and stir carefully for about 60 seconds until cold. Pour into an cold coupe glass or equivalent, decorate with the cranberries and complete it by giving it a quick spritz of the essential oil over the top.
