Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in southeastern Queensland found themselves experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events impacted the state, producing wind gusts hitting over 100 km/h.
Large Hailstones and Extensive Impact
Locals reported giant hailstones measuring up to seven centimeters in particular locations. Weather authorities confirmed that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

State Emergency Services received over five hundred requests for assistance across the region, mainly for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along large portions of Queensland's east this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.
Tuesday was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent thunderstorm potential anticipated across different parts of both regions.

Health officials warned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
